Main Contractor and
Features:
The project was built on a terraced hill and because of the need to create an ancient village feel, access pathways are narrow and winding. This required an outward-in and top-down construction sequence, which allowed the succeeding row's footprint to be used as a working platform. Company owned narrow gauge low profile plant and equipment (including a number of man lifts) was used to address the problem of confined working spaces.
Convrgnt was invited by the owner to value engineer the project without sacrificing any of the qualitative aspects of the scheme. Convrgnt reduced the project cost by 20 million Dirhams by redesigning the structure and proposing alternate finishes for the entire scheme.
